About

Ryan O’Keefe is a husband, hack golfer, amateur bass guitarist, private pilot, and spot currency trader. He has studied, traded, and written about the currency market since his introduction to currency futures at age seventeen. Ryan is not your typical “Wall Street” type; he never worked in the industry, and didn’t study economics or finance in college. Instead, he built a career in information technology developing internet applications and managing ecommerce for several companies. During his information technology career Ryan published two books on internet technology, and taught himself to trade currency around a demanding career, and busy family life. His trading style resonates with people who trade around a day job by offering an alternative to “day trading” styles that dominate trading books and websites.

In 2007 he began sharing his trading strategies and market analysis through a personal trading blog, www.ryanokeefe.com. Today Ryan’s blog is visited by over 1,300 traders every month, and he remains committed to helping people who work full-time learn to trade currency through trade examples, videos and webinars. He presents an educational webinar titled “Trading Currency around Your Day Job”; written ebooks available for free on his blog, mentors traders one-on-one by request only, and writes a blog for www.fxstreet.com. Ryan’s new book, “Making Money in Forex, How to Trade Like a Pro without Giving Up Your Day Job” is published by Wiley & Sons.

Today, Ryan trades from a quiet lake house in the Pacific Northwest with his wife Christine, and their toy poodle Daisy.
